Event DetailsThis event is our 2nd annual Western Ohio/Angels-4-Autism Awareness event. April is National Autism Awareness month. USSSA started hosting awareness events back in 2017 in 4 states. In 2018, the program grew into 30+ states hosting awareness events for Autism. Teams are encouraged to wear light blue if possible to show support for this program.
Format: 10/12u divisions will feature 3 Saturday pool seeding games into Sunday single-elim bracket play. 8u is coach-pitch and is a 3 g/g consisting of 2 Saturday pool games seeding into Sunday single-elim bracket play.
Awards: Top 2 teams in each division will pick up special Autism Awareness Rings along with team awards. Awards will consist of 12 champion and 12 finalist rings. Team awards may be a plaque or team banner.
Merchandise: There will be a merchandise pre-order for the event consisting of t-shirts, dry-fit t-shirts, and hoodies. There may be a few items onsite for sale as well consisting of tournament merchandise and other items. After the event, teams will have the option to purchase customized champions merchandise from UTP.
Additional Info: This event is also a USSSA National Championship qualifier for the top two finishing teams with an unpaid berth to a USSSA National Championship of their choice. Points Race Info: This event earns team points in our Points Race-for-the-Rings program. This program is a state, regional, and national program that uses the USSSA point system to determine the winners of these custom rings. This is a new program for Ohio USSSA at the state level but a team from Ohio did win the Regional and National rankings in 2022. Ohio All-State Showcase: Teams also get to nominate players for our new All-State Showcase August 5, 2023 in Marion, OH. The top 3 teams in each division get 3 player nominations and the remaining finishing teams get 1 player nomination. Entry Fee$237 - $473
Double Eagle Sports/Ohio USSSA policy is that entry fee MUST be paid to guarantee your spot in the event. The deadline for payment is 30 days prior to the event unless otherwise communicated by the tournament director. Unpaid teams at the 30 day point will be moved out of the event or to a waiting list if created. NOTE: Once a division is full, a waiting list may be created. If a team on the waiting list pays-in-full before a prior team entered in the event, that team off the waiting list will be moved into the event and the last team to enter the event who is not paid, will be moved to the waiting list. Paying in full when you sign up for an event is a way to avoid being moved to the waiting list or potentially be dropped from the event.Ways to pay for your entry fee into DES/Ohio USSSA FP Events:- Pay thru the USSSA website under your manager profile.
